The software also has configurations settings to support other third party functions. It also supports torrent exchange where it allows sharing of torrents within a P2P connection. Before making any downloads, the software allows you to preview the torrents, prioritize and schedule file segmentation. ![]() In addition, it also has a bandwidth schedule multi section and mirror download options. It allows scheduling of power shutdown at a specific time. The application has no original interface it has borrowed the design of other BitTorrents. The software helps you to download large files at great speeds without affecting computer performance and will check them with an antivirus. ![]() BitComet is a software tool with an in-built FTP and BitTorrent technology to support downloads, torrent sharing. I am about to give up on Bitcomet (alas).Broadcasting and sharing of files has been made easy through sharing utility programs. I tried most of the solutions I found on the web, but without any success. ![]() One obvious solution is to migrate to utorrent, but bitcomet usually provides MUCH better download speed, so I am reluctant. This implies that the bandwidth itself is NOT the only source of the problem (if the bandwidth is THE problem, it should occur with other torrent clients, right?), but the problem may lie in the Bitcomet software (or how it interacts with other software/hardware-some said some routers cannot handle Bitcomet well). Surfing gets slower, but it is sufficiently fast. This problem does NOT occur AT ALL when I use other bittorrent clients (e.g. Most pages simply do not load due to timeout-basically, I CANNOT surf at all. I still get decent download speed (up to 200-300kbs occasionally).ĭespite this, whenever I download a torrent, I cannot surf. (2) I limited the Global upload speed to 10kbs. Not the fastest, but still respectfully fast. (1) I have a good speed (3MB download 256kb upload). However, I STRONGLY believe that there is more to the problem than the simple bandwidth. In generally, I agree with most of the comments posted earlier-it is very true that downloading torrents will consume the bandwidth, and will slow down the surfing speed. I have been experiencing exactly the same symptom that "beatz2005" described. ![]()
